Are You Registered to Vote in November?

The 2026 election season is here. Tennessee’s state and federal primary is August 6, but if you’re not already registered, that window has closed. The one that matters right now is the November 3 General Election, and there’s still time to make sure you’re ready.

Note: Tennessee requires registration 30 days before any election, with no same-day registration — so don’t wait.


How to Register / What You’ll Need

  • Register online: ovr.govote.tn.gov (needs a TN driver’s license or state ID)
  • Register by mail: download and mail the application to the Maury County Election Commission
  • Register in person: at the Election Commission office, public libraries, county clerk, or register of deeds
  • Valid photo ID required to vote: driver’s license or government-issued photo ID (expired IDs OK; student IDs are not accepted)
